We invite you to join us for this week of meditation and the five unique ceremonies of formally receiving the Buddhist Precepts and becoming a lay Buddhist. The Ten Precepts retreat is offered once a year, honoring and invigorating our determination to stop, to take a look at what we do to cause ourselves suffering, to make a commitment to change, and, at the same time, to recognize the inherent perfection of Buddha Nature in ourselves and all beings. Those who have attended a Beginners or Refuge Retreat at Shasta Abbey or have participated in training at a Priory are welcome to apply; please contact the Guestmaster for information on how to prepare for taking the Precepts.
