Retreat Series: Instructions for the Chief Cook by Reverend Master Daishin Yalon
Instructions for the Chief Cook, written in 1237, is Great Master Dogen's teaching on aspects of working meditation, both in particular and in the large dimensions of our practice. In these four Retreat Dharma talks, Rev. Master Daishin - who had been Chief Cook at Shasta Abbey for more than 20 years - brings Great Master Dogen's teaching into our contemporary lives and practice.
